Earl S. Grant, age 84 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 25th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue), with Bro. Wert Campbell and Dr. Travis Fleming officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 24th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, July 25th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with his grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Grant was born September 20, 1933 in Trousdale County, to the late Ernest Odell Grant and Selma Hyde Grant. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Helen Joyce Hall Grant; and brother, Hulen Grant. He is survived by children, Connie Munday (Mike) of Gallatin, Bob Grant (Charlene) of Greenbrier, Sandra Veale (Walter) of Bethpage, Judy Smith of Crossville, and Donna Smith (David) of Springfield; 15 grandchildren, Dr. David Munday (Waverly), Melissa Meikrantz (Billy), Wade Munday, Shelley Bryant (Matt), Sam Grant, Jennifer Grant, Tracey Grant, Jake Grant, Alyson Wheeler(John), Matt Veale (Stefanie), Bethany Shelton (Ryan), Julia Goss (Zack), Justin Smith, David Smith, and Derrick Smith (Kaitlin); and 20 great grandchildren.
