Obituary of Rodger Edward Thurman

Rodger Edward Thurman, age 54 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018.  Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, August 17^th at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue).  Visitation will be Friday, August 17^th from 12:00 p.m. until service at 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Thurman was born September 24, 1963 in Gallatin.  He is preceded in death by father, Earl W. Thurman, Sr.; several grandchildren; and brother, Ricky Thurman.  He is survived by mother, Eleanor Ann McCullough Thurman of Gallatin; mother of his children, Rachel Thurman of Gallatin; children, Natasha Barrientos (Alfonso) of Gallatin, Nateisha Thurman of Gallatin, and Maranda Martinez (Paulino) of Gallatin; mother of his children, Glenda Owen of Carthage; children, Brandon Owen of Carthage, Logan Hunter Thurman of Gallatin, and Makenzie Thurman (Anthony Vaughn) of Gallatin; fiancé, Margaret Hopson of Liberty, TN; brother, Earl Thurman, Jr. (Rochara) of Castalian Springs; sisters, Nancy Key (Ronnie McEwen) of Castalian Springs and Rita Moss of Gallatin; and 10 grandchildren.
