Martin J. Grimord, of Gallatin, Tennessee, age 80, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. A Celebration of Life Military Service will be Monday, September 17th at the American Legion Landt-Thiel Post #470, Saukville, Wisconsin at 1:00 p.m., with Deacon Ronald Schneider officiating.
Mr. Grimord was born November 28, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Martin Lester Grimord, Sr. and Cecilia Servia Grimord. He is survived by wife of 42 years, Sandra Rose Grimord of Gallatin; son, Jeffrey M. Grimord (Bao Wen) of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Cheryl L. Schmitz (Michael) of Los Angeles, CA; 3 stepchildren, Richard Zachow (Joyce) of Manitowoc, WI, Kristine McCreary of Gallatin, and Robert Zachow (Joanne) of Sheboygan, WI; brother, William Grimord (Lynn) of Milwaukee, WI; sister, Beverly Manthey (Terry) of Milwaukee, WI; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A 1956 graduate of Pulaski High School, in Milwaukee Mr. Grimord served our country in the United States Air National Guard. He owned Ladek Metal Products in Wisconsin and later moved to Arizona, where he and his wife owned and operated two restaurants. They then relocated to Tennessee where Martin retired from Sumner Regional Medical Center in 2000.
