Obituary of Annabel M. Turner

Annabel M. Turner, age 90 of Gallatin, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, September 11th at First United Methodist Church, 149 West Main Street, Gallatin, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. James Johnson and Dr. Ted Hill officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Gallatin Cemetery, with family serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be Monday, September 10th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home, 100 Albert Gallatin Avenue, Gallatin. Visitation will continue Tuesday, September 11th at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m.

Mrs. Turner was born October 25, 1927 in Gatesville, TX to the late Clarence Murray and Annie South Murray.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Joe F. Turner; sisters, Alma Martin and Betty Kate Leathers; and brother, Clarence Murray, Jr.  She is survived by daughter, Jo Ann Bates (Dean) of Gallatin; son, Frank Turner (Judy) of Knoxville; and 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Bates, David Bates, John Turner, Brock Turner (Amanda), and Robby Turner.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gallatin First United Methodist Church Sisters in Christ, 149 West Main Street Gallatin, TN  37066, Avalon Hospice, 394 West Main Street, Suite A-3, Hendersonville, TN 37075, or a charity of choice.  A very special thanks to the nurses and certified nursing assistants at station 2B, Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing for their compassion and care during the last years.  The family is grateful for friends and family who supported them, and especially Avalon Hospice who walked with the family in the final months.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
