Obituary of Geraldine Bradley Burnley

Geraldine Bradley Burnley, age 86 of Gallatin, left her earthly home Wednesday, September 12, 2018, after being sick a short time with cancer.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, September 18th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home, 100 Albert Gallatin Avenue, with Bro. Brian Jarrett and Bro. Doyle Farris officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, September 18th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Danny Burnley, Billy Campbell, Wade Payne, Mike Spurlock, Ron Spurlock, Sam Massey, Tom McKee, and James Rockwell serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hartsville Pike Church of Christ, 744 Hartsville Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066, or contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Mrs. Burnley’s name.

Mrs. Burnley was born May 28, 1932 in Gallatin to the late Mutch Trousdale Bradley and Mattie Ferrell Bradley.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband of 62 years, William Daniel Burnley; brothers, Howard Trousdale Bradley, Lewis Talmadge Bradley, and Billy Lee Bradley; and sister, Louise Bradley Suddarth.  She is survived by son, Danny Burnley of Knoxville; daughter, Terrie Campbell of Gallatin; 1 grandson, Billy Tyler Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Burnley was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was an avid gardener who loved working in her flowers, and also loved her animals, especially her little dogs.  She also was inclined to answer the phone on Fall Saturdays with “Go Big Orange!”.   She was well known for her sense of humor and contagious smile.  She was a member of Hartsville Pike Church of Christ and loved the Lord, family and friends.  Mrs. Burnley graduated from Gallatin High School in 1950 and retired from Eaton Yale and Towne.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
