Obituary of Robert Earl "Bob" Patton

Robert Earl “Bob” Patton, age 71 of Colorado, formerly Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018.  Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, November 17th at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home, 100 Albert Gallatin Avenue, with Tom Patton officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday, November 17th from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harley Bottoms Hunting Club, P.O. Box 1805, Gallatin, TN  37066, in memory of Bob Patton.

Mr. Patton was born December 10, 1946 in Madison, TN to the late Thomas Henry Patton, Sr. and Frances Louise Winters “Polly” Patton.  He is survived by wife of 25 years, Susan Marie Townley Patton of Colorado Springs, CO; sons, Blake Overton (Ryan) of Knoxville, TN, Quentin Overton of Anchorage, AK, and Austin Overton of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Tom Patton, Jr. (Fran) of Castalian Springs, TN and Bill Patton (Madge) of Mt. Juliet, TN; sisters, Frances Winter of Doweltown, TN and Carol McDonald of Madison, TN; and 2 grandchildren, Jacob Adams and Cole Adams. 

Bob was a graduate of Davidson County Police Academy and became a Metro Police Officer.  Because of his love for hunting, he became a Game Warden in Law Enforcement.  He started his career as a Game Warden in Sevier County; working in surrounding counties, he retired as the officer over Sumner County.  He continued his career working with the Sumner County Sherriff’s Department and finished his career with the U.S. Marshall Service.  Bob was one of the founding members of Harley Bottoms Hunting Club which became one of his most important cherished accomplishments.  Bob was a graduate of Charis Bible College, graduating with honors.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
