Obituary of Carlos Lee Allen, Jr.

Carlos Lee Allen, Jr., age 84 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Friday, November 30th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home, 100 Albert Gallatin Avenue.  Visitation will be Thursday, November 29th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, November 30th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Larry Hammock, Harry Hammock, Stanley Duffer, Chuck Proffitt, Gary Pickard, J. R. Stewart serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are the employees of Gallatin Department of Electricity, Steve Sudbury, Glenn Hammock, Joe Cook, Terry Pryor and Jackie Stewart.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Allen Scholarship Fund.

Mr. Allen was born May 3, 1934 in Jackson County, TN to the late Carlos Bedford Allen and Edna Vanhooser Allen.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Murial Jean Allen; and sister, Mary Jo Satterfield.  He is survived by daughters, Vickie Willoughby of Gallatin, Suzanne Hesson (Eddie) of Gallatin, and Cindy Brazel (Kevin) of Westmoreland; brother-in-law, David Satterfield of Gallatin; 5 grandchildren, Lee Willoughby (Stacey), Jeremy Willoughby (Lauren), Brandon Hesson (Nikki), Ashley Hesson Jackson (Brad), and Haley Brazel; and 6 great grandchildren, Eli Willoughby, Vera Willoughby, Arthur Willoughby, Carter Jackson, Miles Jackson, and Knox Hesson.

Mr. Allen retired from Gallatin Department of Electricity after 38 years of service.  After his retirement, he sold vegetables from his home on Maple Street.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
