Obituary of MIchael Wayne Scruggs

Michael Wayne Scruggs, age 55 of Orlinda, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, December 4^th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home, 100 Albert Gallatin Avenue, with Bro. Forrest Creekmore officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4^th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Rock Bridge Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.

Mr. Scruggs was born January 25, 1963 in Gallatin.  He is preceded in death by a son and a daughter.  He is survived by wife of 10 years, Christy Amons Scruggs; mother, Dean “Willia” Jones Heflin of Lebanon; father, Billy Scruggs of Indiana; sons, Josh Scruggs of Lebanon and Michael Groves of Orlinda; daughters, Misty Barrett (John) of Liberty, TN; brothers, Patrick Heflin of Alexandria, TN; sister, Linda Clariton of Carthage, TN; and 4 grandchildren.  Michael worked for B & M Trucking for many years.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
