Obituary of Edward "Ed" Smith

Edward “Ed” Smith, age 61 of Bethpage, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 8^th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, 100 Albert Gallatin Avenue.  Visitation will be Friday, December 7^th from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 8^th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Mike Smith, Al Smith, Lil Al Smith, Adam Smith, Austin Smith, and Myndi Smith serving as pallbearers. 

Mr. Smith was born December 5, 1957 in Detroit, MI, to the late Edward LaVon Smith and Virginia Sanders Smith.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Frances Sturgill.  He is survived by wife of 40 years, Cheryl Lyle Smith of Bethpage; and brothers, Mike Smith (Sharon) of Linden, MI and Al Smith (Shirley) of Mt.
