Chester Wolkonowski, Jr.
Chester was born in Rochester, New York on May 17, 1942 and passed away in Lebanon, Tennessee on December 16, 2018. Chester is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Priscilla (Youngers); daughter, Jennifer (Edward) Fuchs; sons, Michael (Elizabeth) and John Christopher (Urla); grandchildren, Mary Grace (Ezra) Jones, Evan, Hunter and Rylan Wolkonowski; sister, Anne Ary, and brother, Steve Wolkonowski.
Chester was born in Rochester, New York to Chester Wolkonowski and Stella (Zalyski) Wolkonowski. Chester spent much of his childhood in Germany immediately following World War II and returned to the U.S. during his high school years. He was a wartime veteran of the United States Air Force, and he then spent a career as a medical service engineer. Chester was an Eagle Scout and Scout leader, a seasoned outdoorsman, a brilliant engineer, a fantastic cook, and a great dad (and grandpa) who was always involved in the lives of his family. He passed away surrounded by family members.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, December 22 from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet, 2229 North Mount Juliet Road, Mount Juliet. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m.
