Obituary of Bob Hamilton

John Robert “Bob” Hamilton, of Lebanon TN, was born Friday, January 10, 1947 in Belfast OH, and passed from this life on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 3:25 p.m. at Tri-Star Centennial Medical Center in Nashville TN at the age of 72 years.  No services are scheduled.

               Bob was the son of the late Robert Howard and Mildred Marie (Markins) Hamilton.  A 1965 graduate of Belfast High School, he received his undergrad degree from Miami University, Oxford OH.  Bob went on to obtain a Master’s Degree from the University of Maine in Bangor, along with a Juris Doctor degree from the Nashville School of Law, upon moving to Tennessee.  Bob began practicing law in Nashville then later opened a practice in Lebanon TN, continuing until his retirement in May 2018.

               Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, are son Devon Hamilton, sister Kay Hamilton Burns, and step-daughter Vicki Christopherson Barber.  Survivors include: his wife, Claralee “Cary” Wohlfert Hamilton of Lebanon TN; sister: Lynne Hamilton and husband Galen Neal of Hillsboro OH; stepsons: Michael Christopherson and partner Harold Scott of Lebanon TN, and Rick Christopherson and wife Diane of Sautee GA; step granddaughters: Brittany Barber and Cara Christopherson and fiancé Isaac; brother-in-law: Richard Burns of Mowrystown OH; nephews: Joe and wife Mary Burns of Newport KY, and Travis Burns; and one grand dog: SueEllen.
