Obituary of Martha "Joyce" Nokes

Martha “Joyce” Nokes, age 77 of Gallatin, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019.  Funeral Service will be Friday, March 22^nd at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Thursday, March 21^st from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, March 22^nd from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  Interment will follow the service at Cedar Grove Cemetery, in Lebanon.

Mrs. Nokes was born February 21, 1942 in Dowelltown, TN.  She is preceded in death by parents, James Gordon Coons, Sr. and Mattie Mai Neal Coons; father, Shon Nokes; and siblings, Cleon Nokes, Roosevelt Nokes, Geraldine Jackson, Ellise Nokes, Jimmy Coons, Waynes Coons, David Coons, and Dorothy Atchley.   She is survived by Vickie Lynn Bolton  of Dalton, GA, Linda Lewis (Mike) of Gallatin, David Lee Primm of Lebanon, Jackie Primm (Laurie) of Lebanon, and Mark Primm (Paige) of Lebanon; brother, Ray Donald Coons (Becky) of Goodlettsville; 9 grandchildren, Robert Allen Bolton, Jason Eugene Bolton, Kara Renee Womack (Zack), James “Bo” Bledsoe (Lisa), Anthony Primm (Kelly), Ashley Primm, Dustin Primm, Jacob Primm (Sara), and James Robert Lee Cunningham; and 11 great grandchildren.  Mrs. Nokes was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.  She retired from Texas Boot after 17 years of service.  She was a volunteer activities director at McKendree/Lambuth.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
