Obituary of Carline White Merritt

Carline White Merritt, age 82 of Bethpage, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 6^th at 2:00 p.m. at Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 111 Liberty Street, Portland, TN  37148, with Elder Darrell Withers officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, April 5^th from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Family Heritage Funeral Home, and Saturday, April 6^th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Temple Missionary Baptist Church.  Interment will follow the service at Rock Bridge Cemetery, with Ronny Brooks, Bryan Cothron, Brian Webster, Jeremy Searcy, Jason Searcy, Josh Searcy, Thomas Culbreath, and Brent Coates serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are Hayden Searcy and Tyler Cothron.

Mrs. Merritt was born September 11, 1936 in Sumner County to the late John B. White and Annie Mai Rippy White.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Elder John Merritt; brothers, Raymond White and Jim White; sister, Betty Johnson; and son-in-law, Michael Searcy.  She is survived by daughters, Brenda Brooks (Ronny) of Bethpage and Cathy Searcy of Portland; 5 grandchildren, Sarena Cothron (Bryan), Emily Webster (Brian), Jeremy Searcy (Kristin), Jason Searcy, and Josh Searcy (Lauren); and 5 great grandchildren, Sierra Cothron, Braelyn Webster, Olivia Searcy, Charlotte Searcy, and Hayden Searcy.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
