Obituary of Ellen Yvonne Brown Woodward

Ellen Yvonne Brown Woodward, age 83 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019.  Funeral Service will be Wednesday, April 10^th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Charles Williams officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, April 9^th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 10^th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Ronnie Tennant officiating and family and friends serving as pallbearers.  Memorials may be made to Nashville Road Church of Christ, 1883 Nashville Pike, Gallatin, TN  37066, or Friends of the Gallatin Public Library, 123 East Main, Gallatin, TN 37066. 

Mrs. Woodward was born December 12, 1935 in Trion, GA, to the late Benjamin T. Brown, Sr. and Lula Alva Wooten Brown.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Roy Brown, B. T. Brown, Jr., and Winfred Roger Brown; and sisters, Francis Virginia Brown, Harriett Ann Crowe, and Alice Patricia Brumley.  She is survived by husband of 49 ½ years, Gary N. Woodward; daughter, Kelly Woodward (Syndi Keats) of Truckee, CA; and brothers, Maxie Randle Brown (Linda) of Rome, GA and Howard Don Brown of Lafayette, GA.  She retired from Washington Manufacturing as an Administrative Assistant after over 30 years of service.  She then retired from American General Life Insurance Company after 15 years of service.  Mrs. Woodward was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
