Obituary of Mary Lee McNeelan Hicks

Mary Lee McNeelan Hicks, age 83 of Dickson, Tennessee, passed away on May 5^th, 2019.

The Funeral Service, conducted by Bro. Russ King, will be held on Thursday, May 9^th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Tom Hicks, Jr., Steven Eric Hicks, Gary Stephen Vincent, David Smith, Mark Smith, Joel Smith, Shawn Vincent, and Elijah Hicks serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 8^th from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, May 9^th from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

She is survived by loving husband of 65 years, Grover Thomas Hicks, Sr.; children, Velma Gracie Hicks (David) Smith, Rebecca Lee Hicks (Gary) Vincent, Tom (Kathy) Hicks, Jr., and Steven Eric (Dorothy Walker) Hicks; grandchildren, David Mark (Por) Smith, Susan Victoria Smith, Joel Edward (Jennifer) Smith, Tanya Michelle Vincent (Michael) Landrum, Mandy Christine Vincent Landrum, Brianna Lee Vincent (Chaz) Allman, Shawn Michael Thomas (Alex) Vincent, Christine Lynn (Michael) Broome, Laurie Nicole (Andy) Huff, Tracie Leighanne (Brandon) Collier, Valerie Samantha (Justin) Matthews, Meredith Anne Hicks, and Elijah Thomas Hicks; great – grandchildren, Victoria Grace Pavaritsa Smith, Alvin Mark Ihikorn Smith, Joel Michael David Smith, Jacob Ryan Edward Smith, Justin Thomas Smith, Brandon Tyler Landrum, Justin Cade Landrum, Keeley Michelle Landrum, Kaleb Michael Landrum, Fisher Knox Landrum, Paisley Sky Landrum, Tennley Summer Landrum, Judah Alexander Allman, Josie Lee Allman, Ethan Thomas Broome, Kayla Raegan Broome, Mackenzie Lynn Broome, Gabrielle Nicole Huff, Adelynn Rochelle Huff, Gavin Andrew Huff, Turner Kade Collier, Grayson Nash Collier, McKinley Ray Matthews, and Ryker Davis Matthews; numerous nieces and nephews and many, many dear friends and extended family she dearly loved also survive.

She was preceded in death by parents, Ferrell Thomas and Stella Virginia Fairchild McNeelan, Sr.; great – grandchild, Jordan Thomas Smith; siblings, Ferrell Thomas McNeelan, Jr., Stella Virginia McNeelan, Glenn Eugene McNeelan, Fern McNeelan, Travis Wayne McNeelan, Carl Troy McNeelan, James Mosco Mayfield, and Helen Marie Grigsby; an infant sibling also preceded her in death.
