Obituary of Frances "Granny" Hudson

Frances “Granny” Hudson, age 95 of Gallatin, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 1^st at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. Gene Martino officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, May 31^st from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 1^st from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Adam Sloan, Rocky Cothran, James Burton, Chad Jewell, David Brown, and Pat Townsend serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are Thomas McCormack, Jr., Richard Hudson, Kevin Starner, and Jeff Cagle.

Mrs. Hudson was born September 15, 1923 in Smith County to the late Stanton McCormack and Virgie Sircy McCormack;  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Avery Dane Hudson; brother, Thomas Willard McCormack; and sisters, Willie Bea Thomas and Essie Lee Wilkerson.  She is survived by son of Jimmy Hudson (Elaine) of Gallatin; 1 granddaughter, Tina Townsend (Pat); and 1 great grandson, Brandon Townsend.  Mrs. Hudson retired from Genesco after 40 years of service.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
