Obituary of Robert Wilson Newsome

Robert Wilson Newsome, age 72 of Gallatin, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019.  Funeral Service will be Thursday June 20, 2019 at 12 PM in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday June 19 from 2:00 – 8:00 PM and Thursday June 20 from 10:00 AM to time of services at 12:00 PM Interment will follow the service at Beech Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Mr. Newsome was born October 8, 1946 in Nashville.  He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Elizabeth Fletcher Newsome.  He is survived by son, Jason Newsome (Glenda) of Murfreesboro; step-daughter, Jennifer Brown Gragg of Hendersonville; brothers, Steve Newsome (Debbie) of Gallatin and Andy Newsome of Gallatin; sister, Debbie of Gallatin; 6 grandchildren, Nomar Newsome, Nicholas Newsome, Alexander Newsome, Leah Newsome, Dalton Gragg, and Bailey Gragg; and 1 great grandchild, John Robert Stephens.  Mr. Newsome worked in upholstery most of his life, owning his own business in Bowling Green, KY.  He served his country in the United States Air Force.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
