Obituary of Cornelia Neel Masters

Cornelia Neel Masters, age 81 of Bethpage, passed away on Thursday, August 1st, 2019. Funeral Service is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, August 4th, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Doyle Farris and Bro. Brian Jarrett officiating. Interment will follow the service in Crestview Memory Gardens with Ross Heinen, Brandon Rippy, Kody Masters, Hunter Masters, David Simpson, and Bob Neuhaus serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 3rd from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, August 4th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:30 p.m.

 

Mrs. Masters was born on May 10th, 1938 in Sumner County, Tennessee, to the late John Henry and Mary Neel Adcock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Howard Masters; and sister, Dorothy Sharpe. She is survived by children, Tracy Rippy of Castalian Springs, Mary Howard (Phillip) Simpson of Gallatin, and Steve (Dee Dee) Masters of Bethpage; grandchildren, Brandon (Sabra) Rippy, Michelle (Ross) Heinen, Dr. Linsey (Bob) Neuhaus, Dr. David (Annie) Simpson, Kody (Kendall) Masters, and Hunter Masters; great – grandchildren, Rhys Heinen, Mason Heinen, Madeline Neuhaus, Wyatt Neuhaus, Grant Neuhaus, Carter Neuhaus, Saturday Simpson, September Simpson, Reagan Masters; step great – grandchildren, Chloe Crocco and Joney Sellars.

 

Cornelia was a faithful member of Hartsville Pike Church of Christ in Gallatin and was the Co – Director of the Daycare for many, many years. She was devoted to her studies and attended Ladies Bible Class at both Hartsville Pike Church of Christ and Nashville Road Church of Christ. Mrs. Masters enjoyed painting, loved to study genealogy, and was an active member of The Red Hat Society.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hartsville Pike Church of Christ.
