Obituary of Lewis E. Eatherly

Lewis E. Eatherly, age 84 of Hartsville, passed away on Saturday, August 10^th, 2019. Graveside Service will be held at Bradley Cemetery in Bethpage, Tennessee, on Wednesday, August 14^th, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. with his grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at Family Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 14^th from 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Mr. Eatherly was born on November 15^th, 1934 in Sumner County, Tennessee, to the late John and Annie Mai Mosley Eatherly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter and son – in – law, Brenda and Tim Cheek; brothers, Jim Harper, Bill Eatherly, Ellis Eatherly, and Herschel Eatherly; and sister, Winnie Osaile. He is survived by wife of 64 years, Delores Eatherly of Hartsville; sons, Tim (Heather) Eatherly of Castalian Springs, Gary Eatherly of Hartsville, and Frank (Kristy) Eatherly of Lafayette; daughters, Sherrie (Jimmy) Byrd of Orlinda and Gayle Gilliam of Portland; sister, Dot Hooper of Florida; 14 grandchildren and 15 great – grandchildren also survive.

Lewis retired from Tennessee Tree, where he worked as a tree trimmer. He loved all things farming and gardening.
