Obituary of Polly Doss Mitchener

Polly Doss Mitchener, age 101 of Gallatin, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, October 22^nd in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Corbin officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, October 22^nd from 1:30 until time of service at 3:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Gallatin Cemetery.

Mrs. Mitchener was born August 3, 1918 in Portland, to the late John Doss and Vivie Fykes Doss.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Louis D. Mitchener, Sr.; sons, Louis Dillon Mitchener, Jr. and Lanny Doss Mitchener; and sister, Lucy Covington.  She is survived by daughter, Wanda Gail Mitchener of Edenton, NC; 2 grandsons, Louis D. Mitchener III (Kathy) and John Scott Mitchener (Brandy); and 4 great grandchildren, Austin Dillon Mitchener, US Navy Blue Angels (Jessie), Hunter Scott Mitchener, Corrine May Mitchener, and Knox Doss Mitchener.  She worked at the internationally known Randy’s Record Shop in Gallatin, TN for 43 years.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
