Obituary of Jerry Wayne "Piggy" McAlpin

Jerry Wayne “Piggy” McAlpin, age 61 of Westmoreland, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, October 29th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Pastor Matthew Boren officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, October 28th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 29th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Gary Ray, Jimmy Loper, Chad Harper, Ricky Rollin, Mark Thomas, and Chris Thomas serving as pallbearers.

Mr. McAlpin was born April 24, 1958 in Gallatin to the late Andrew Jackson McAlpin and Pearlie Gregory McAlpin.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, William J. McAlpin; sister, Glenda Kay Lemons; and other family members, Shirley Johnson and Billy Johnson.  He is survived by wife of 28 years, Doris Bullington McAlpin of Westmoreland; son, Jerrod W. McAlpin of Westmoreland; daughter, Amanda Hartley (Ryan) of Goodlettsville, brothers, Billy J. Johnson, Jr. of Nashville and Ricky C. “Peewee” Johnson of Gallatin; and sisters, Regina Harper of Gallatin and Karen Rollin (Ricky) of Westmoreland.   Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
