Obituary of Lorene Carter

Lorene Carter “Grandma Cindy”, age 92 of Cottontown, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019.  Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday, November 26^th at 6 p.m. at Family Heritage Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26^th from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Carter was born April 14, 1927 in Lewis County, KY to the late Golda Dummitt and Effie May Bloomfield Dummitt.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, James Thomas Carter; son, Dennis Carter; daughter, Patsy Demonbreum; sister, Elouise Driscoll; and brother, Shelby Dummitt.  She is survived by daughter, Susan Saunders (Bill) of Cottontown; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Sircy of Lafayette; brother, Gene Dummitt of Johnson City; sisters, Pauline Chinn of Vanceburg, KY, Darlene McCormack of Battle Creek, MI, and Jo Sliger of Knoxville, TN; 5 grandchildren, Jim Carter (Stacey), Marti Sullivan (David), Stephen Pate (Dana), Michael Pate, and Amanda Holt; 9 great grandchildren, Rebecca White (Wes), Sara Carter, Laura Carter, Wyatt Sullivan (Heather),Woody Sullivan, Abby Pate, Hannah Pate, Taylor Pate, and Hadley Fulgram; and 3 great-great grandchildren, Oliver White, Julia White, and Lewis Sullivan.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
