Obituary of Leon Harrison Carr

<p>Mr. Leon Harrison &ldquo;Lynn&rdquo; Carr, age 76 of Hartsville, TN passed away suddenly Sunday, October 27, 2019.</p> <p>He leaves a loving family to be with his Loving Father and Savior.&nbsp; Leon was retired from the TN Army National Guard.&nbsp; He was a 60 year member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Deacon.&nbsp;</p> <p>Leon was preceded in death by his parents, AW &ldquo;Joe Ben&rdquo; and Gerald Jones Carr.</p> <p>He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Betty Carol Sullivan Carr;&nbsp; Son, David Lynn (Megan) Carr-Richmond, KY;&nbsp; Grandsons, London &amp; Keaton Carr;&nbsp; Brothers, Freddie Carr-Hartsville, TN, Jerry Carr-Bethpage, TN, Raymond Carr-Lafayette, TN and David Thomas (Janet) Carr-Lafayette, TN and Sisters, Faye Troutt-Lafayette, TN, Brenda (Steve) Robertson-Lafayette, TN, Patsy (Kenneth) Bennett-Smith Co., TN and Kathy (Doyle) Hawkins-Lafayette, TN.</p> <p>Leon loved life.&nbsp; He was a man of simple pleasures and a simple, but strong faith.&nbsp; He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.&nbsp; From traveling and hiking to just working around the house and farm, he was normally outside.&nbsp; He was a very giving person and was always available to help anyone with any kind of need.&nbsp; He loved to laugh and joke around.&nbsp; He was always drawn to kids and they seemed to love his smiles and attention.&nbsp; He will be missed terribly by all those who love him.</p> <p>Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home at 1 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2019 conducted by Bro. Jerry Watson and Bro. Anthony Hale. Interment will be in the Green Grove Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday and 10 AM until service time Wednesday.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
