Obituary of Betty Hayes

HAYES, Betty Elizabeth, age 81 of White Bluff, TN, passed away December 20, 2019. Mrs. Hayes was a faithful member of White Bluff United Methodist Church. She loved painting, crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed arts & crafts and making clothes. She was full of love and loyal to her family and was very active in Little League, never missing a game that her boys played in. Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by parents, Ernest and None Bell Hurt; and siblings, George Hurt, Wade Hurt, Ernest Hurt, Cricket Hurt, Tommy Hurt, John Hurt, and Dolly Hurt. She is survived by husband William Hayes; children, Mike (Lynn) Hedgecoth, Tom (Barbara) Hedgecoth and William Hayes, Jr.; brother, Joe Hurt; granddaughter, Amana Hedgecoth; and niece, Judy Pettitt. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 22nd at 1:00 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Rev. David Hesson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, December 21st from 4-8 pm and one hour prior to the service on Sunday, December 22nd.
