Popcorn! Why was my dad's popcorn so coveted? There are no special ingredients other that the art of the right timing and temperature, just a bit of butter and salt. So many have enjoyed this treat and everyone makes a big deal about it because it is communal. The smell draws you in and leads you to conversation or sharing a movie on Saturday night. Cherry picking the shiny butter coated kernels in the glow of the TV screen. It's something you could count on; a sense of something stable in life. It was a safe place to be. For Tim, it was an act of service, one of his love gifts.
