Obituary of William Reese Fleming

William Reese Fleming, age 83 of Bethpage, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, February 12th at 2:00 p.m. at Bethpage United Methodist Church, 3140 US 31-E Bethpage, TN 37022, with Rev. Gene Martino and Chaplain Mike Potts officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 12th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow the service at Bethpage Upper Cemetery, with William Gregory, Andrew Apple, Kyle Blankenship, Eddy Budge, Wesley Apple, Carl Gregory, and Ed Budge serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Bethpage United Methodist Church or Upper Bethpage Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Family Heritage Funeral Home, 100 Albert Gallatin Avenue, Gallatin, TN 37066. Mr. Fleming was born December 6, 1936 in Sumner County to the late Dan Fleming and Gracie Key Fleming. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife of 59 years, Bobbie Ann Byrd Fleming; brothers, Bobby Fleming and Tommy Fleming; and son-in-law, Hank Apple. He is survived by daughters, Teresa Gregory (Carl) of Lafayette, Jill Apple of Bethpage, and Tam Budge (Ed) of Bethpage; sister, Katie Grizzle of Hendersonville; sisters-in-law, Linda Fleming of Gallatin and Sandra Jones (Wendell) of Decatur, TN; brother-in-law, Dewayne Byrd (Susan) of Bethpage; 5 grandchildren, William Gregory, Andrew Apple (Amber), Gracie Blankenship (Kyle), Eddy Budge (Abby), and Wesley Apple; and 3 precious great grandchildren, Logan Thomas Apple, Lucy Jo Blankenship, and Frankie Reese Budge. Reese was a faithful and loving member of Bethpage United Methodist Church. He was a plumber and farmer. Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
