Obituary of Norma Jean Oglesby

Mrs. Norma Jean Oglesby, age 84 of Hartsville, TN passed away Friday afternoon, February 7, 2020 at NHC Place Sumner. Jean was very family oriented. Early in her work life, Jean drove the van for Mid Cumberland Human Resource Agency escorting elderly residents. She returned to nursing school late in life and was a Nurse at Quality Care Nursing Home in Lebanon, TN for the 22 years of her career. She was devoted to her elderly patients and had a passion for reading. Preceded in death by: Parents, Olie & Gracie Brown; Husband, Billy Frank Oglesby and 3 Brothers, Conway, Wallace & Roy Brown. Survived by: 2 Sons, Bill Oglesby-Bethpage, TN & Jeff (April) Oglesby-Hartsville, TN; Daughter, Terri (John) Crutcher-Bethpage, TN; 5 Grandchildren, Kristin & John Oglesby, Sarah Johnson, Brittney (Jordan) Affourtit & Dylan Warner; 3 Great Grandchildren, Jaycie, Madisyn & Landon Affourtit and 3 Sisters, Helen Sloan-Bloomington, TN, JoAnn (Jesse) McLevain-Mt. Juliet, TN and Dean (Prentice) Smith-Carthage, TN. Memorial services will be held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home at 11 AM Saturday, February 15, 2020 conducted by Bro. John Crutcher and Bro. Jimmy Crabtree. Interment will be held at the Hartsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday and 9 AM until service time Saturday.
