Obituary of Gordon C. Gammons

Mr. Gordon C. Gammons, age 76, of Lafayette, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Saint Thomas West in Nashville. Funeral Services for Mr. Gordon Gammons are scheduled to be conducted on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at 11 AM, from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Kyle Gammons and Elder Anthony Hale officiating. Interment will follow in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Friday, May 29, 2020, from 10 AM until 9 PM, and on Saturday from 9 AM until service time at 11 AM. A Masonic service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020, at 7pm from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home conducted by the Hillsdale Lodge #664 F&AM. Family requests donations be made towards the Annie Butler Scholarship Fund. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Gammons and Essie Mae Norman Gammons; and brother-in-law, Robert Smith. He is survived by; Wife, Janice Stinson Gammons Daughter, Vickye Clariday and husband, Shay Tom Sons, Kyle Gammons and wife, Rachel Jared Gammons and wife, Katy Grandchildren, Jordon Steen, Emma Gammons, Hagan Gammons, Anne Kate Gammons, Grant Gammons, and Graham Gammons Step-Grandchildren, Keeley Clariday and Brody Clariday Brother, Billy Gammons and wife, Barbara Sisters, Lucy Smith Marie Taylor and husband, Bob A host of extended family and friends also survive.
