Obituary of Mable L. Hesson

Mable L. Hesson, age 97 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020. Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 6th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, June 5th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 6th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with family serving as pallbearers. EVERYONE WHO ATTENDS THE FUNERAL SERVICE, VISITATION, AND INTERMENT IS ASKED TO WEAR A FACE MASK, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A FACE MASK, THE FUNERAL HOME WILL PROVIDE ONE FOR YOU. Mrs. Hesson was born November 1, 1922 in Sumner County, to the late Bennie Enoch Hawkins and Vera Martin Hawkins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Hesson; daughter, Carolyn Wall Frisch; brother, Edward Hawkins; and son-in-law, Fred Frisch. She is survived by sons, Charles Hesson (Sandra) of Portland, Eddie Hesson (Suzanne) of Portland; daughter, Norma Hesson Woodward (Harry) of Gallatin; 9 grandchildren, Terry Woodward (Missy), Lori Ragland (Ray), Scott Woodward (Gindy), Brandon Hesson (Nikki), Ashley Jackson (Brad), Jared Hesson (Audrey), Todd Hesson (Jean), Phillip Wall (Stacey), and Nathan Wall (Nicole); 17 great grandchildren, Mitch Woodward (Ivy), Thomas Woodward, Peyton Woodward, C. J. Ragland, Ben Ragland, Kerrigan Woodward, Hadleigh Woodward, Carter Jackson, Miles Jackson, Knox Hesson, Mack Hesson, Finn Hesson, Ava Hesson, Leah Hesson, Ashton Wall, Anna Wall, and Julian Post; and 1 great great-grandchild, Daisy Mable Woodward. Mrs. Hesson was a member of Bushs Chapel Church of Christ, she was a wonderful Christian and loving mother to all her family. Mable owned Hesson Grocery in South Tunnel for over 13 years. She retired from Genesco, later going to work for Acme Boot, where she worked for many years. Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
