Obituary of Billy W. Snoddy

Billy W. Snoddy, age 84 of Bethpage, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Funeral Service will be Friday, June 26th at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Pastor Chad Penick officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 25th from 12:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, June 26th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Ricky Troutt, Greg Spencer, Todd Herrington, Jay Blount, Chad McKinney, and Carter Penick serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Ricky Gann. Mr. Snoddy was born August 25, 1935 in Smith County to the late William C. Snoddy and Ruby Nell Ward Snoddy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette Vaughn Snoddy; and grandson, Adam Bryan Cook. He is survived by son, William Anthony “Tony” Snoddy (Lisa) of Goodlettsville; daughter, Patricia Snoddy Blount (Jay) of Lafayette; 4 grandchildren, Will Herrington, Greg Spencer (Tina), Amber McKinney (Chad), and Tiffany Snoddy; and 2 great grandchildren, Ava McKinney and Liberty Cook. Mr. Snoddy retired from Ford Glass Plant after 44 years of service. He was a driver for Dixie Concrete and his first job was with Wesley Mangrum at his service station.
