Obituary of Roxa Lynn Meguiar

Roxa Lynn (Roxann) Meguiar died June 30, 2020 in her home at the age of 62 after complications with lung cancer and treatment. Born on June 6th, 1958 in Nashville TN, she was the only daughter of the late Maxine Glanz Meguiar and Kenneth Ross Meguiar and sister of the late Ricky Meguiar. After living most of her childhood in Alabama, her family moved back to Hendersonville TN in 1972 and she had lived in the Middle TN area ever since. She never met a stranger and as she got older mostly showed her love with food. If she cooked or baked anything for you, you knew she cared about you. Holidays meals and special occasions will never be the same. Survivors include her son Chad Akers, daughter Holley Lampley, son in law James Lampley, and her most favorite, Mallie and Thomas Lampley – her grandchildren. She also had a huge group of friends that she considered family & had been able to depend on through thick and thin for many years. While her children are carrying out her final wishes there will be a Celebration of Life planned by her friends at a later date due to Covid-19 – or as she called it ‘a flippin’ mess.’ Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Sumner County Food Bank - 1021 Woods Ferry Road Gallatin, TN 37066 or donations by phone 615.504.6182 – so she can continue to show love through food. Family Heritage Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
