Obituary of Dorothy Drury Driver

Dorothy Drury Driver, age 92 of Bethpage, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020. Graveside Service will be Wednesday, July 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Drury Cemetery. In lieu of, memorials may be made to Concord Missionary Baptist Church, 604 Tyree Springs Road, White House, TN 37188. Dorothy Drury Driver was born February 19th, 1928, Evansville, Indiana. She moved five years later to her granddaddy’s farm on Drury Ridge in Macon, County, TN. She attended Sullivan Grade School as well as other schools in Kentucky, Alabama and Tennessee. She graduated from Macon County High School as the Salutatorian in 1946. She was saved at a meeting near Drury Cemetery and joined New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a member for over 50 years. Later, due to the distance from her home she attended Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Sumner County where she made many friends. She married at 18 years old to Buster Driver and from this union had three sons. Richard, Steve (Penne) and Alan (Lisa). She is most proud of her grandchildren Rachel and Riley and her great grandchildren Dixie, Junior and Captain and her sons and daughter’s in law and their Christian life. She is preceded in death by her husband Buster and her two sons Richard and Steve. Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
