Charlie, I Salute you, you are a truly great man who has dedicated his life to supporting the Military with your great country music. This picture was taken in Guanatanmo Bay Cuba at the USO concert. I slipped a note to Charlie’s manager. The note said “Charlie I’m a good ole girl from North Carolina, can you please come out right after the show cause I had to leave as soon as the show was over because i had watch thst night. He came out just for me and he signed pictures for me and my 3 children, I was the only one in my unit MIUWU-208 that Charlie & his 3 band members signed signed my cover.

Charlie Daniels Autographed a picture for me to give to my Aunt Margaret Smith who had cancer in 2013. He was a very loving and giving man.❤
Some of my many memories of the CDB. 6 Volunteer Jams. Many fairs and wineries. Concerts with the Marshall Tucker Band, Allman Brothers Band along with others. You will truly be missed!!
The first time I got to meet Charlie, it was at a fan club party.
It was my birthday and Charlie was so nice to me and my family and friends always.
I’ve always loved his music , he was a Awesome song writer and all around Great Musician!
We will miss you, Thanks For the music and the memories!
R.I.P. Charlie Daniels, and God Bless The Daniels family!
Sending prayers to Charlie's Family at this time and may God's grace give you peace knowing that he is with his Heavenly Father. In 2015 I had the privilege to meet Charlie and it was an honor. His manager had seats that were closer to the stage than I had so we got to sit closer. What an honor. Goodbye, Charlie, and we will meet again in heaven.
A great privilege to meet Charlie Daniels and present him with a Dessert Storm ball cap at his concert in Jacksonville FL ,fall 1991 , Fair Winds and Following Seas Charlie, our family was always big fans, God Bless & Prayers for the Family
It was 1975, Tampa Stadium, Charlie Daniels was a "Warm Up" act for Seals and Crofts, Eagles, and Linda Ronstadt. I was 10 yards away from the stage, he looked at me, smiled, and tipped his hat.
From then on, I was a fan.
December of '95, at the Freebird the Movie premiere at the Fox Theater in Atlanta.
We got to meet him, after the dinner following the premiere.
As he was leaving, he took the time, and a photo was taken.
A few months later, I called his office in Tennessee, and told them we were attending a show in West Palm Beach, and asked if I could have this photo autographed. They said Charlie would be happy to meet us before the show and sign it. They told me Dean would take care of everything, and gave us his number. Dean was wonderful, knew who we were, and it felt like we knew Dean and Charlie Daniels our whole life.
We brought a dozen yellow roses, Charlie accepted gracefully. He told us that his wife Hazel was with him and she would love having them on the bus. He gave Mitzi and I a hug, and we went to our seats, stage left, front row.
He looked at us, tipped his hat and smiled, and threw a solid red bandanna, we caught it as he nodded his head and smiled.
The world is poorer without Charlie Daniels,
but richer because he was here.
We pray the Holy Spirit gives his family and friends and his millions of fans the strength and comfort they will need during this difficult time.
God bless,
Lucky and Mitzi

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. Charlie was a great musician and always supported the military. My husband and I had the pleasure of seeing him perform back on March 13, 2020 in Huntsville, Alabama and he put on an awesome show. We are so glad we was able to see him perform one last time and we had a great time. To his family we are so sorry for your temporary separation but know you all will see him again someday. Know that even though he is not here he will always be with you in your hearts and your memories. May GOD wrap his arms around you and comfort you during this difficult time. May you REST IN PEACE CHARLIE.
While stationed with the US Army in Germany in 1990, my family and I got to meet Charlie Daniel's. We chatted and got photos and autographs. We also went to his concert. I remember him making a comment about my husbands dinner plate size belt buckle. Then he proceeded to lift his belly to show his buckle. Said "I have a big buckle too...just can't see it!" Or something to that effect. We love his music and especially his gospel songs. He is loved and will be missed.

I had the wonderful opportunity to write a poem for Charlie that accompanied a painting that T.W.Curtis painted for Charlie for his Annual Celebrity fundraiser in Clearwater Fl. I titled it "The Masters Touch". I pray for peace and comfort for Hazel, Charlie Jr and family. America's heart breaks over the loss of this great man.

To Charlie's family, I am so sorry for your loss and I hope your path through grief brings you strength.
I was fortunate enough to meet Charlie over 20 years ago through a great friend and was able to see him every year in concert, backstage, and Meet and Greets. He was a kind-hearted man and was always genuine, and spoke to me like I was just another man, always on my level and never pretentious. 16 years ago before a show, I was on his bus and was able to have about 10 minutes sitting across a table just him and I chatting about things. In that short time, I discovered how genuine he was and thought his family and friends who spend a lot of time with him are so blessed. I told him I teach Social Studies at E.O. Smith High School in Storrs,Connecticut and I asked him if he could inspire my students in some way. Long story short, he agreed to have my students ask him questions related to his Soapbox Forum. This started a long standing commitment by him that had an indelible impact on myself and hundreds of students over the past 16 years. This was a delight for me to have Charlie taking part in educating my students. He inspired me to become active in helping veterans in Connecticut which in turn I initiated a program at school for my students to help veterans well. I am forever grateful for his inspiration. Every year when I would see him he would say "Hey, Tim the Teacher how are your students this year?" He genuinely cared. I am blessed to have gotten to know Charlie over the years and deeply saddened over his passing.
We always signed off on our emails by mutually writing "God Bless". You are missed Charlie. God Bless, Tim
Our deepest condolences to the Daniels family. Charlie was one of those few rare performers who achieved a deserved superstar status, yet remained true to his roots, his family, and his fans. We will miss him. We were fortunate enough to meet Charlie at his Mount Pocono, PA show last year, and as always, he was the consummate professional and gentleman.

Dear Charlie- Thanks for making my world, as well as others - much brighter with your music, & generosity! I’ve been a fan since first seeing you in a roller rink in Brick, NJ, in 1978! Seen you at many venues & filled my soul with your music! Thank you so much for your work with Veterans & children! You are going to be greatly missed! RIP
He was a great inspiration to me and was one of the most positive people I've ever met...The world is a darker place without him, but heaven gained another true legend! He will be missed...RIP, Charlie...
RIP, Charlie Daniels. A truly Wonderful American, Performer, Patriot, and Human Being. You will sorely be missed by us all down here, but I know the BEAUTIFUL music you are making now with the Heavenly choir.
God Bless the family and spirit of Charlie Daniels. He has always been gracious to my radio show, "Classic Country Saturday Night" in North Carolina. The last time I saw Charlie perform was July 30, 2019 at the 9 pm show at the Grand Ole Opry, I took this picture. I was looking forward to seeing him at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster this year. The first time I ever saw him was August 15, 2009 in Jackson, NJ at the Sean Hannity Freedom Concert. I also saw him with Travis Tritt at the Delaware State Fair July 25, 2018. I'm 43, I have been a CDB fan since I was young. I listen to CDB every day at work. I loved reading Charlie's tweets and seeing "On This Day" posts about CDB on Instagram daily. I still have my Freedom Concert t-shirt. I'm just a fan, I didn't know Charlie but his music, performances, and social media were such a part of my daily life, things just won't be the same without him. Rest in peace Charlie ❤️ Prayers for Hazel and Charlie Jr. I am praying for you and all Charlie's loved ones.
True story about this night at the Opry: I invited a guy friend down at the last minute to see Charlie Daniels & the Opry show with me. But I only had 1 ticket. So he rode his Harley from Maryland to Nashville, and I got on the phone with the Opry to find me a ticket to this sold out show. They did! Charlie played that fiddle so amazing that night and brought Randy Travis out on stage too. My friend and I held hands & fell in love. We've been together ever since. I'll never forget Charlie ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Even before I had the chance to meet Charlie, I felt a kindred spirit of his life path from the love of music and values. I’m blessed that I was able to meet Charlie Daniels Feb.26, 2014 with my good friend Lynn Owsley. To a great man and musician, you well be missed. Fly On!
I had the pleasure of meeting Charlie this past February in NYC. As I told him he provided many tracks in what I call the soundtrack of my life. It was an absolute pleasure to meet him. He was a gentlemen and the few moments we spoke he made me feel like he knew me for years. He will be missed by all who knew him. RIP kind sir. Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us. Godspeed Charlie
My heart is broke, a true Patriot and man of God. He was such a great influencer and his advice was always on point. He truly had a huge impact on patriotism and how America is to be. A legend who will live on. Never be forgetten. I took this pic 2012 Backstage Ocean City Bike Week before the concert.
I’m so heartbroken! I had the honor to photograph Charlie over the years and whiteness the impact he had on every life he touched including mine. He gave the BEST HuGS! I never met anyone that didn’t absolutely love him! I loved him, his heart of Gold, and everything he stood for! He will be greatly missed by so many. Rest In Peace my friend.
met the man for many times, we never agreed in political options, but we respect each other.
I will miss you much.
Rest i peace
Thank you Mr. Charlie for years of great country music and for your kind, caring heart towards others. You have been truly a mentor to other musicians, including my son. Fly High! Prayers for the family.
I was six when I first met Charlie, and I'm so fortunate to have been on the volunteer Jam in 86 and 87 with him, he was one of the kindest sweetest men that have ever had the pleasure of knowing my entire life. An amazing musician, father, husband, and all around good guy. He will be greatly missed.
Charlie was a Close Friend of 0ur Family in Murfreesboro, he was their kids Godfather, he was doing a show in Victorville Ca-and was going to spend the night with us-but my daughter had Chicken Pox! He is going to be sorely Missed!! R.I.P Charlie-and Thank You for all the Memories!! here's a picture of my son BJ, and Charlie, before we moved to NC-Prayers for comfort for his family!
Prayers for Miss Hazel, Charlie Jr., the CDB, The Volunteers, and the fans. Have no doubt that Charlie walks with our Lord and Savior. Fly high Mr. Daniel's and please watch over us. God bless.
In 1994 I was on a show on the Nashville Network called "The Charlie Daniels Talent Roundup" (and won Best Female Vocalist). I had the opportunity to work with, and get to know, Charlie and Hazel. Charlie was down to earth, genuine, kind, and encouraging. My condolences to Hazel and family. Go Rest High on that Mountain.
Several years ago, the fire department I was on was doing a fundraiser for a charitable cause. We did several, so at this time, I fail to remember exactly what this particular cause was. I wrote to Charlie at Twin Pines. It was almost immediate that he sent merchandise to help us raise funds.
Just a few years ago, my son, my daughter, and I got to meet and work with Charlie and the CDB at a show in Martinsville, IN. I met Charlie between sets. He was a truly genuine individual. He made us feel warm and welcome and as if he truly cared about us, and I truly think he did care about not just us, but I think he cared about everyone everywhere. I'm so very glad I got to witness this first hand.
I so admire Charlie because of his open and public profession for our lord and savior, Jesus Christ, and for his patriotism. I can only imagine how much those close to him miss him, because I know how much I do. Mrs. Daniels (Hazel), Charlie Jr., thank you for sharing Charlie with all of us. We are praying for each of you, along with the entire CDB family. May the lord comfort you all. May He comfort all of us as we grieve over our loss. I know that we can rejoice because we will one day see him again.
We love you Charlie, go rest high on that mountain. There will never be another Charlie Daniels. As Clint Black said, there is no mold to make another Charlie Daniels, because there was only one.
Thank you so much Charlie for all you meant not only to our US of A, but to the world.
Thank you for all the great music and you undivided patriotic spirit. You're a musical legend in my eyes and I'll always remember you that way. Fly High Charlie, you're with the Free Birds now...
This was the last concert Tim and I went to in NC. It was the best one ever. He told stories throughout the concert and the music was superb. He was such a true Southern gentleman, a man of God and a great American. Thank you so much Hazel and Little Charlie for sharing him with the world. May you find peace knowing he is with his true father. Love to you both, Wendy Wall Craig
