Obituary of Trey Webster

Charles E. Webster, III (Trey Webster), 18 of Hendersonville went to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 16th from suffering an aneurysm. Trey was the only child of Charles & Emmalene Palmer-Webster. He earned his Eagle Scout rank in 2016 and went on to earn many Eagle Palms. Trey graduated in the Class of 2020 from Hendersonville High School with honors. He was a Tennessee Scholar, AP Scholar with Distinction, and a Governor School Sciences & Engineering Scholar. Trey played the Alto Saxophone with the HHS Band of Gold; Treasurer of the National Honor Society; President of the National Beta Club; Rho Kappa Honor Society; Skills USA Member; Student Council Junior & Senior Class Representative; Future Farmers of America; School Climate Club; Math Team Alternate; and Coming Home Court. Trey was voted Best All-Around Senior Superlative. Trey had several highlights while attending high school however, the one he was most proud of was his participation as an unpaid intern with The Tennessee Democratic Coordinated Campaign for the Governor, 2018 election. He loved politics. Trey was registered to vote and was excited to be able to vote in the upcoming election in November. Trey was employed part-time at the Nashville Children’s Theatre. Weekly he volunteered at the Hendersonville Public Library; yearly volunteered with the Interfaith Dental Clinic, Salvation Army Angel Tree, Cooper Trooper Pumpkin Patch Pediatric Cancer Foundation, and Shelby Bottoms Nature Center. He was accepted at Sewanee The University of the South; Florida Institute of Technology; Fisk University; Virginia Polytechnic Institute State University; and The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Trey decided to attend the University of Tennessee where he was accepted in the Honors & Scholars Program for engineering. Trey was a member of the National Eagle Scout Association, Sumner County League of Women Voters, The National Society of High School Scholars and PADI Club Membership. Trey loved researching family genealogy; visiting historical landmarks and sites; following politics & economic trends; scuba diving and talking with friends. Trey was known for his beautiful smile, his magnetic personality, his kindness, his love for Jesus, his church at New Beginnings Christian Center, his family and others. Trey was a faithful friend. Visitation with the family will begin Friday, July 24th from 5-8 pm and Saturday, July 25th from 12 pm until time of service. Trey proudly wore a mask every where he went for his safety and the safety of others. The family respectfully requests masks be worn during visitation and the Celebration of Life service.
