Obituary of Eleanor Ann Thurman

Eleanor Ann Thurman, age 85 of Castalian Springs, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020. Funeral Service will be Monday, August 24th at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Don McCullough officiating. Visitation will be Monday, August 24th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Christopher Key, David Dowell, Bryson Dowell, Tyler Dowell, Kirby Moore, Austin Moore, and Blake Reed serving as pallbearers. Donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses. Mrs. Thurman was born February 2, 1935 in Mitchellville to the late Elvis McCullough and Margaret Jane Glover McCullough. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Wright Thurman, Sr.; sons, Ricky Allen Thurman and Rodger Edward Thurman; brothers, Robert McCullough and Roy Edward “Corky” McCullough; and sisters, Vera Harrison, Joann Ventress, and Dorothy Thurman. She is survived by son, Earl Thurman, Jr. (Rochara) of Castalian Springs; daughters, Rita Thurman of Gallatin and Nancy Key (Ronnie McEwen) of Castalian Springs; brother, Don McCullough (Rose) of Lewisburg; 19 grandchildren; and 33 great grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren.
