Sharon LaVake

Obituary of Sharon Lynn LaVake

Sharon LaVake went to her forever home on September 8, 2020 at the age of 70. Sharon was born in Antigo, Wisconsin as the eldest child to Lola Matuszczak and Donald Tappa. She married her childhood sweetheart Guy LaVake on September 16, 1967. Sharon created a loving home and devoted her life to her family. She was proud of the fact she was able to teach her children to do things she herself could not do. Sharon shined at caring for her Apple with the bite missing. She enjoyed knitting, plastic canvassing, and crossword puzzles. Sharon enjoyed Christmas so much that the house was decorated for Christmas before Thanksgiving and remained in the Christmas spirit until after New Year's. Making a home is hard and noble work! Sharon LaVake is survived by her husband Guy LaVake, her daughter Carie Ann Schueller (Mike) and her sons Robert and Wayne - who is the apple with the bite missing. Siblings Dianne Tappa, Beccy Garbisch and Kevin Tappa. Grandchildren Maggie, Carter, Nathen, Jacob and Matthew. Great-grandchildren Bailey, Noah, Ethan, Baylee, Conner, Leonna and Novalee. Sharon was preceded in death by a son Ronald whom she loved very much although he died at the age of nine months. It left a hole in her heart. God can now heal that sore with togetherness. Also preceded by her were her parents Lola and Donald Tappa, sister Brenda Singer and brother Michael Tappa. She was a strong, sensitive and caring individual. We pray to God she is at peace.
