Obituary of Thomas Keith Gurrister

GURRISTER, Thomas Keith, born October 1, 2020 and passed from this life on October 2, 2020. Thomas Keith was preceded in death by great-grandfathers, John Moncek, Merritt Keith Wayman and Frank Hall; and great-grandmother, Dorothy Hall. He is survived by his parents, Jeff & Marissa Gurrister; grandparents, Kevin & Janice Hall and Don & Maggie Gurrister; great-grandparents, Arvella & Alex Czajka, Leone Wayman and Thomas & Leona Gurrister; uncles & aunts, Lisa & Jared Becker and their children, Jack & Avery, Cassie & Kevin Young and their children, Sophia & James, Rachael Stevens and her son, Ranger and uncle Michael Hall. A private service will be scheduled at a later date. Marissa and Jeff spent the last 6 weeks in the Antepartum unit at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital where they’ve been surrounded by comfort and support. In lieu of flowers or gifts, Marissa and Jeff have requested that donations be made to the Saint Thomas Health Foundation in memory of Thomas Keith. Donations will go towards helping other NICU and antepartum families, who have meant a great deal to the Gurrister’s during this emotional season. A portion of the donations will also be used to establish a library in memory of Thomas Keith. The library will benefit families in the Saint Thomas Midtown Antepartum unit who are impacted by long hospital stays due to pregnancy complications. His time on earth may have been brief, but Thomas Keith touched the lives of so many and we find peace in knowing that God will use his life to impact many more.
