Mr. Weber used to come into FedEx Office on Westport Ave faithfully every Thursday to send out his new cartoon clippings for next day shipping for Friday morning. That had to be over 10-15 years ago. After introducing himself it became one of our weekly routines. He was the nicest man that I have ever met. He talked about his family and work which he loved. The long line of other cartoonist in the family. We Lost contact because it just got too cold in the store for him and he didn’t like the cold. Lol he was a joy to have as a customer. It saddens me that I’m just finding out that he has gained his wings. Mr. Weber, he would always say aww that’s my father call me Bob. Mr. Weber you were and will always be my #1 customer. You are missed. Oh and thanks again for the Book. Lots of love

I was glad I had a chance to have breakfast with my uncle last year when he visited Maryland. We talked about family memories and cartooning and writing. He also told me a lot of stories. Of course, I heard a few of them before, but hearing a Bob Weber story just once is never enough! His famous line was, "stop me if I've told this story before." I always said I hadn't heard it, even if I had. No story ever got old. He had one of those larger-than-life personalities and a cartoonist's understanding of the world. Like a great writer or a poet, a cartoonist understands human nature better than most. That's what made his stories and his insight into people so interesting. I pray that his family and friends find peace and comfort in their memories of Bob, and in the knowledge that he touched so many people in his life's work.
