Obituary of Velva Jean Hopkins Marsh

Ms. Velva Jean Hopkins Marsh, age 88, of Lafayette, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at the Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Gallatin, Tennessee. Funeral services for Velva Marsh are scheduled to be conducted on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at 11 AM from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Harold King officiating. Interment will follow in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will begin at the funeral home on Friday, October 23, 2020, from 11 AM until 9 PM, and on Saturday, from 9 AM until service time at 11 AM. Ms. Velva Marsh was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Marsh; and her parents; J. C. Hopkins and May Jones Hopkins; brothers, J.B. Hopkins, Arthur Hopkins, Jimmy Hopkins, Mack Hopkins, and Purt Hopkins; and sisters, Ruby Hopkins, Virgie Hopkins, Snowie Hopkins, Hallie Hopkins, and Hester Hopkins. Ms. Velva Marsh is survived by; Brother, Roger Hopkins Sister-in-law, Betty Hopkins Several nieces and nephews also survive.
