Obituary of Agnes Margareta Kilb

Agnes M. Kilb June 8, 1932 – October 30, 2020 Lebanon, TN Highland Falls, NY Agnes Kilb passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital. She was 88 years old. Daughter of the late Charles and Frieda (Hey) Wienberg, she was born on June 8, 1932 in Manhattan, NY. Agnes lived in Nanuet, NY then moved to Deposit, NY when she and her husband Walter Kilb both retired. They loved the many years they spent shared between Deposit and Nanuet until they moved to enjoy the country life! They later moved to Highland Falls to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren. Agnes made many wonderful friends in Highland Falls and spent a lot of her time with them. She loved having lunch at Andy’s Restaurant, and playing Mahjongg with everyone at the library. Her favorite time of the week was the ladies luncheon each Friday with all of her friends. She was a member of the Highlander’s Senior Citizen group and served as Corresponding Secretary. Agnes was an avid reader, enjoying mystery and suspense novels the best, it was hard to keep books on hand sometimes. She sure did love her flowers, whether it be her African Violets or any pretty outdoor varietal. She recently moved to Wilson Manor in Lebanon, TN when her daughter and son in law relocated to Nashville. She loved her new extended family and friends and thrived in her new home. Agnes will be missed by many and loved so many more. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Fran and Jerry Galu, Jr of Nashville, TN; her grandson James Galu III and his wife Olivia of Fishkill, NY; daughter in law Andrea Sciarrino, grandsons William Monahan, James Monahan and his wife Mary; granddaughter Kathryn Boxman and husband Kyle all of New York; three great grandchildren and a large loving extended family. Agnes is also survived by her loving nephews, Edward (Bernadette) Wienberg, Charles (Ellen) Wienberg and Mark (Christine) Wienberg. Agnes was predeceased by her parents, her husband Walter Kilb, her son William Monahan, her step son Walter “Chuck” Kilb, and her brother Charles Wienberg. Interment will be at the convenience of her family in Highland Falls, NY.
