Obituary of Lorine Jean Trumpy

Lorine Jean Trumpy nee Mundinger, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Thursday, November 12th, 2020 at age 89. The family will hold a private service at a later date. Lorine Jean nee Mundinger was born on Saturday, January 10th, 1931 in the Detroit, Michigan area to the late Ore and Bertha Mundinger. Lorine graduated from Redford High School and went on to study art and design at Wayne State University. On Saturday, October 9th, 1954 in Redford, Michigan, Lorine wed Fred W. Trumpy at Grace Lutheran Church. They were married 51 years. Mrs. Trumpy worked as an executive secretary prior to starting her family. After raising her family, she returned to work at Jacobsen’s in Birmingham, MI in the HR Department. Lorine was an active member of the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod. She participated in many activities: garden clubs, volunteer for Lutheran Braille Workers, and bridge clubs. Crafting including sewing, embroidery, card making, flower arranging, knitting, and cake decorating are things Mrs. Trumpy always enjoyed. She was preceded in death by husband, Fred W. Trumpy; brother, Orrie Mundinger; sister-in-law, Ethel Mundinger; son, John W. Trumpy; grandson, Carl F. Trumpy. She is survived by children, Diane (Dean) Stuenkel of Gilroy, CA, Donald (Betty) Trumpy of Overland Parks, KS, and Carol (David) Schilling of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren, Lisa (Benjamin) Garosi of San Francisco, CA, Lori (John) Craig of Long Beach, CA, Jovi (Justin) Tatlow of Oakley, CA, Jenna Stuenkel of Long Beach, CA, Rachel Trumpy of St. Louis, MO, Neil (Sarah) Trumler of Charlottesville, VA, Michael Schilling of Key Largo, FL, and Anna (fiancé, Derek Holman) Schilling of Chattanooga, TN; great-grandchildren, Kaci Garosi, Aubri Garosi, Ryan Craig, William Craig, Joshua Tatlow, Andrew Tatlow, and Christopher Tatlow; nephews, Orrie (Arlene) Mundinger and Douglas Mundinger.
