Obituary of Harold Edwin McClendon

Harold Edwin McClendon, age 70 of Old Hickory, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, December 22nd at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 22nd from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Fairfield Cemetery West, with Pastor Herbert Mays officiating and Michael Thompson, Scott Cook, Shane Carson, Tabious Claybrooks, Devon Hill, and Steven Schultz serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses. Mr. McClendon was born June 6, 1950 in Nashville to the late Asa G. McClendon, Sr. and Edith Pauline Rayburn. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Asa Gutherie McClendon, Jr. He is survived by companion, Kathy Carson of Old Hickory; daughters, Rachael Lynn Curtis (Lance) of Gallatin and Leila Brown (Steven Schultz) of Nashville; sisters, Deborah McClendon Thompson (Mike) of White House, Barbara Ann Knight of Ashland City, and Frances MacKay (Calvin Potts) of Antioch; grandchildren, Jase Kendall Patrick and Cheyenne Brown; Kathy’s “bonus family” who he loved dearly; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
