Obituary of Henry "Peck" Schell, Jr.

Henry “Peck” Schell, Jr., age 89 of Gallatin, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, December 29th in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Joseph David Baker officiating. Visitation will be Monday, December 28th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, December 29th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with David Tenpenny, David Cane Pippin, Seth Moore, Austin Middleton, Jim Ingersoll, and Mickey Dorris serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Team Alz Worthy or in memory of Henry Schell, 478 Craighead Street #200, Nashville, TN 37204. Mr. Schell was born January 23, 1931 in Gallatin to the late Henry A. Schell, Sr. and Alice Newton Schell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Margaret Ann Wright Schell; brothers, Sam Schell, Cullen Schell, Thomas Bentley, Joe Bentley, Jerry Bentley, James Bentley, and Fred Bentley; and sisters, Mary Nell Cole, Elizabeth Morse, Sallie Dulworth, Sadie Bentley, and Anna Mai Bentley. He is survived by sons, David Schell (Susan) of Gallatin and Danny Schell of Gallatin; daughter, Debbie Moore (Tommy) of Gallatin; 4 grandchildren, Lisa Moore (David), Seth Moore (Sharon), Crystal Moore (Austin), and Dixie Schell; and 3 great grandchildren, Lacey Moore, Lexy Moore, and Mallory Moore. Mr. Schell retired from the Sumner County Highway Department after 30 years of service. Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
