Obituary of Homer Ligon, Jr.
Homer Ligon, Jr, age 76 of Gallatin passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020. Graveside Service will be Wednesday, December 30th at 3:30 p.m. at Crestview Memorial Service, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 30th at Family Heritage Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until time to leave for the cemetery.
Mr. Ligon was born March 25, 1944 in Sumner County to the late Homer Ligon, Sr. and Helen Bruce Ligon. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Linda Sue Fishburn; brother, Johnny Ray Ligon; and sister, Gloria Jean Tidwell. He is survived by wife of 56 years, Peggy McCormick Ligon of Gallatin; son, David Michael Driver (Mary) of Gallatin; sisters, Connie Russell (Cordis) of Gallatin and Faye Wright (Jimmy) of Gallatin; 2 grandchildren, Tabitha Jackson (Shea) and Laura Fritz (Jeremy); and 3 great grandchildren, Skylar Wilson, Emmit Fritz, and Jeremy Fritz, Jr. Mr. Ligon retired from Gapco after 42 years of service as a truck driver.
