Obituary of John D. Plumlee

John D. Plumlee, age 85 of Bethpage, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 27th from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Family Heritage Funeral Home in Gallatin. Graveside Service will be Thursday, January 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Bridge Cemetery, with Bro. Danny Sellars officiating and Harold Brooks, Jeremy Jenkins, Brian Thomas, Hollywood Burford, Willard Shands, and Ronnie Bates serving as pallbearers. Mr. Plumlee was born September 14, 1935 in Smithville to the late Everett D. Plumlee and Emma Hulse Plumlee. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Everett Plumlee, Jr. Edward Plumlee, and Gene Plumlee. He is survived by wife of 64 years, Gladys B. Plumlee of Bethpage; daughters, Teresa Brooks (Harold) of Bethpage and Lynn Plumlee of Bethpage; son, John Alan Plumlee (Lisa) of Lebanon; brother, Dallas Plumlee (Lillian) of Lebanon; 6 grandchildren, Crystal Thomas (Brian), Joshua Brooks, Kayla Jenkins (Jeremy), Lindsey Plumlee, Megan Burford (Hollywood), and Kendal Plumlee; and 4 great grandchildren, Lucas Jenkins, Easton Boyd, Reese Boyd, and Allie Kayt Jenkins. Mr. Plumlee was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and the Vanderbilt Commodores.
