Obituary of Joe H. Williams

Joe H. Williams, age 87 of Gallatin, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, March 9th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Joe Porter officiating. Visitation will be Monday, March 8th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, March 9th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Joah Williams, Scott Porter, Chance Johnson, Chase Johnson, Kevin Whittaker, Danny Williams, Steve Williams, and Randy Johnson serving as pallbearers. Mr. Williams was born April 22, 1933 in Sumner County to the late Aubrey Williams and Lena Barr Elliot Williams. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy Williams, Jarvis Williams, Johnny Williams, Jerry Williams and Rick Williams; and sisters, Ruby Tipton and Nora Gregory. He is survived by wife of 65 years, Mildred May Porter Williams of Gallatin; sons, Danny Joe Williams (Brenda) of Lebanon and Steve Allen Williams (Teresa) of Gallatin; daughter, LaDonna Johnson (Randy) of Gallatin; brother, Jack Williams of Red Boiling Springs; sisters, Daphine Mace (Lucky) of Gallatin, Dot Gregory (Charles) of Indiana, and Peggy Brinley of Gallatin; 5 grandchildren, Chase Johnson (Becky), Chance Johnson (Amanda), Brook Williams, Whitney Whittaker (Kevin), and Joah Williams (Ashley); and 13 great grandchildren, Makayla Williams, Brianna Malone, Logan Johnson, Liam Johnson, Layla Johnson, Daisy Jo Johnson, Royce Porter Johnson, Adler Gray Johnson, Landon Williams, Sam Williams, Delaine Stiltner, Miranda Stiltner, and Pierce Stiltner. Mr. Williams served our country in the United States Army. He worked for the Sumner County Cooperative Creamery Association for over 30 years.
