Obituary of Wallace James Tapley

Wallace James Tapley, age 78 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021. There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering of Family and Friends Saturday, April 17th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Long Hollow Golf Course, 1080 Long Hollow Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066. Mr. Tapley was born August 20, 1942 in Hobbs, New Mexico to the late Wallace Richard Tapley and Louise Arlene Shows Tapley. He is survived by wife of 51 years, Joilet Williams Tapley of Gallatin; Children, James Dale Tapley of Dallas, TX, Wallace James Tapley, Jr. (Julie) of Lincoln Park, MI, Kellie Meredith of Gallatin, TN, Russell Tapley (Melissa) of Bethpage, TN; sister, Darlene Farthing of Gallatin, TN; and 6 grandchildren, James Ryan Tapley (Ashley), Randy Tapley (Amelia), Tyler Meredith, Olivia Meredith, Shelby Lynn Gaddis, and Haleigh Gaddis. Mr. Tapley served our country in the United States Marines and the United States Army. He retired from the Kroger Company after over 41 years of service in transportation.
