Obituary of Mary C. Manning

Mary C. Manning, age 96 of Bethpage, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021. Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 18th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Elder David Manning officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 17th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 18th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Bethpage Lower Cemetery, with Jody Gwaltney, James Manning, Gary Manning, Kenny Manning, Donnie Stewart, and Chuck Manning serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Manning was born May 24, 1924 in Macon County to the late Charlie Franklin Leath and Martha Deliah Cox Leath. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, William Lee Manning; 2 grandchildren, Christopher David Barton and Jeffrey Manning; 1 great grandchild, Bella Manning; brothers, Johnny Leath, Obra Leath, Cordall Leath, Bill Leath, Warren Leath, Rufus Leath, and Oakley Leath; and sisters, Eunice Wooten and Tennie Mungle. She is survived by sons, Charles W. Manning (Donna) of Lafayette, Billy Manning (Brenda) of Bethpage, Donnie “Butch” Manning (Linda) of Bethpage, and Richard Manning of Bethpage; daughters, Dottie Stewart of Bethpage, and Rita Gwaltney (Terry) of Bethpage; special granddaughter, Cheryl Manning of Bethpage; 22 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren; and 43 great-great grandchildren.
