Obituary of Edward Joseph Sekula

Edward Joseph Sekula, age 75 of Gallatin, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8th at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, with Deacon James Nardini officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 7th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Family Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will be Thursday, April 8th at 2:00 p.m. at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Honoring him as pallbearers are Andrew Sekula, Warren Sekula, Matthew Sekula, Joseph Lambert, Jack Sekula, and James Sekula. Mr. Sekula was born November 8, 1945 in Chicago, IL to the late Joseph Sekula and Josephine Sekula (nee Malinowski). In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by grandson, Joseph Lambert; brother, Lawrence Sekula; sister, Constance Boling (nee Sekula); and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Sekula. He is survived by wife of 38 years, Lynn Sekula (nee Parker); sons, Warren Sekula (Colleen) of Minooka, IL and Matthew Sekula (Ashley) of Prosper, TX; daughter, Sheri Lambert (Joseph) of Addison, IL; brother, John Sekula of Santa Barbara, CA; sister, Mary Aveni (Gino) of El Segundo, CA; sister-in-law, Ann Sekula of Evergreen Park, IL; 8 grandchildren, Jessica Mittermann, Christine Ivnik, Bonnie Lambert, Kaitlyn Sekula, Jacqueline Sekula, Andrew Sekula, Jack Sekula, and James Sekula; 3 great grandchildren; and loved by his nieces and nephews.
