Obituary of Mr. Joe David Jernigan

Mr. Joe David Jernigan, age 73 of Cottontown, TN passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Mr. Jernigan was born May 22, 1945 in Portland, TN the son of the late William "Dump" Jernigan. Mr. Jernigan is survived by his wife, Jane Jernigan of Cottontown, TN. His mother, Jessie Jernigan of Cottontown, TN. A son, Darren Jernigan (Daphne) of Grant, FL. Four daughters, Tiffany Isenberg of Portland, TN, Carla Jo Suddarth (Jeff) of Portland, TN, Rebecca Grigsby (Lloyd) of Evansville, IN and Angel Johnston of Nashville, TN. Ten grandchildren; Alicia Kepley, Brandon Jernigan (Alison), Brittney Jernigan Osborne (Zach), Brent Jernigan, Tyler Isenberg, David Isenberg (Brittany), Jaden Isenberg, Alyssa Grigsby, Braden Grigsby and Savannah Grigsby. Four great grandchildren; Hollis Kepley, Emory Osborne, Bode Osborne and Sutton Jernigan. Joe David was a fourth generation farmer and loved farming all of his life. Known for his whistling and his smile, Joe David loved spending time with his family, friends, and especially his wife Jane. A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Red Barn at Crafton Farms, 209 Crafton Rd. Portland, TN 37148.
